Narrowband imaging (NBI) is one of the most advanced technologies available for endoscopy and related treatments. The NBI light is absorbed by blood vessels and reflected by mucosa. This ensures that stark contrast is observable between the two structures and surface as well as deeply embedded tumors and lesions are clearly visible. Moreover, the visual image of the NBI endoscopy is much clearer than the regular endoscopy making the process more efficient. High Definition (HD) narrow-band imaging endoscopy provides high-quality images in the process. However, magnification endoscopy takes it a step further by magnifying the high-resolution endoscopy images up to 150 times the original image. With the help of NBI-magnifying endoscopy, even the smallest lesions can be detected in the early stages.
It helps to detect:
Polyps
Early Esophageal and Gastric Carcinoma
Lesions in stomach, large bowel, small bowel
Intestinal metaplasia
Gastric Ulcers
Gastric Dysplasia
